Spectrogram Study of Echo and Reverberation- A Novel Approach to Reduce Echo and Reverberation in Room Acoustics

چکیده
This paper presents new approach to enhance the quality of sound signal perceived by the listener in a concert hall considering Spectrogram and Single Spectrum Plot. We simulate a natural concert hall using Digital Echo and Schroeder Reverberator models. We analyze the results using Spectrogram and Single Spectrum Plots and finally propose a model for better analysis of room acoustics.

Joint Dereverberation and Residual Echo Suppression of Speech Signals in a Noisy Environment
Hands-free devices, such as mobile phones, are perhaps one of the most prominent applications of acoustic echo cancellation systems. They are often used in a noisy enclosed environment. Therefore, the recorded near-end speech will also contain reverberation and background noise, which degrade the fidelity and intelligibility of speech. In the last two decades postprocessors have been developed ...
متن کاملImplementation of 3D Audio Acoustic Modeling for Real Time Application using Blackfin Processor
Signal processing techniques allow us not only to compensate for the acoustics of a listening environment, but also to add special musical effects such as delay, echo, and reverb, if desired. The most common example is the audio equalizer that allows us to enhance the bass or treble content of an audio signal. What a listener hears in a room depends not only on the acoustics characteristics of ...
متن کاملFree-field Virtual Psychoacoustic and Hearing Impairment: Paper 775 Does learning a room’s reflections aid spatial hearing?
Sound reflections are abundantly present in everyday environments; yet, our spatial hearing abilities are usually not impaired by them. One contributor to this robustness is the adaptation to the reflections after being repeatedly exposed to the room’s reverberation. The echo threshold, the delay at which a reflection starts being separately audible as an echo, increases with repeated exposure ...
متن کاملDoes reverberation perception differ in virtual spaces with unrealistic sound reflections?
Reverberation caused by sound re ected o surfaces and objects is present in abundance in everyday life. Yet, in most situations we are unaware of it. This is due to the ability of our auditory system to adapt to the incoming sound re ections, which results in increased echo thresholds, i.e. the minimum delay to hear a re ection as an echo is increased after the echo was heard repeatedly. Change...
